WHAT MAKES OUR TRADING TRAINING DIFFERENT ?

We have a passion for trading, and a passion for passing on our knowledge in an exciting, interesting, interactive way; whether via our Live Online and Face-to-Face Academy courses that features our realistic physical trading simulator, or our succinct E-Learning Academy – we love to discover, motivate and mentor future traders.

All of us at TwoTwoFive have at one time been a commodity trader, we have traded physical commodities, paper and options; you name it we have traded it.

We have over 100 years trading experience between us and have trained and assessed 1,000’s of delegates from 100’s of Companies.

What makes us different is the way we approach your learning

We have to talk…

We have always made our courses as interactive as possible, but at times there is no getting away from someone having to explain trading concepts. We endeavour to keep our talking to a minimum, whilst ensuring delegates fully understand the principles.

Lectures are generally a maximum of 45 mins, this being the maximum amount of time an adult can concentrate.

we encourage You to play…

Everyone who’s attended our Face-to-Face Academy courses loves playing the trading simulations; they are always the most popular part of the courses as they allow delegates to put into practice what’s been learnt during the lectures.

The simulations last anything between 20 minutes and 3 hours, and are played individually or in teams. It allows individuals to become totally immersed and experience the physiological highs and lows of a being a Commodities trader: the thrill of making money…the tense, nervous, knot-in-the-stomach feeling when you’re holding a loss-making position…Should I sell now for a loss? Am I right and the market is about to turn in my favour?

All these emotions are very real when you play a TwoTwoFive trading simulation.

It can be stressful…

It has been said that war consists of long stretches of boredom punctuated by brief periods of terror – much the same can be said of trading.

Pressure and the physiological impact of trading is part of the reason some people love it so much. As traders place trades, testosterone is released into the body, adrenalin surges into the blood and the stress steroid cortisol trickles out of the adrenal gland. As this cortisol reaches the brain, the pleasure chemical dopamine is released. Cortisol and dopamine together are hugely addictive for the brain and provide that ‘buzz’ that comes with putting on positions. However (and there is always a ‘but’…) prolonged exposure to cortisol can have a hugely detrimental effect on your health.

On our Advanced and Assessed courses we strive to educate delegates in awareness, monitoring and stress management to ensure longevity and good physical health. We are trained HRV (Heart Rate Variability) practitioners – HRV is the best non-invasive measure of the Autonomic Nervous System, the main controller of health and performance functions.
